Julian graduated from Sheffield University a very long time ago. He practiced, as a GP partner, for almost 30 years in the old steel town of Stocksbridge, South Yorkshire before retiring in September 2023. He continues to work, however, as a Speciality Doctor at Barnsley NHS Foundation trust where he has also worked for over 25 years. He is the current Executive Chair of the Primary Care Dermatology Society
